And Up it Goes ...

My husband and his friend started on the gazebo floor this week. The hardest part was the 9 holes that had to be 4 feet deep so the posts could be cemented in. My husband actually rented a 2-man gas auger and thought he could do it with the help of someone. What was he thinking~??? lol

This area has tons of rock and he started the first hole and hit rock ... couldn't get the auger down, couldn't get the auger up. When he got the auger started again it actually flung him about 4 feet and he did a backwards somersault and hurt his shoulder. That was it! Next day he hired someone to come with a bobcat and auger attached. The guy did a great job. Live and learn.

But a few days after that they started the floor and did an amazing job!! This picture is only short the very middle piece which he hasn't cut yet. But wow, it looks good.

They plan on starting the actual gazebo early next week. My only problem is because we wanted it at the side of our lot which is sloped - there is this optical illusion that it is really crooked. But we've had the level on it in every direction and its perfectly straight. I'm hoping the 'illusion' goes away once the gazebo goes up! I'm not into the 'Leaning Tower of Piza' look ...lol.

Today I put a new Alpha in LLL Creations Dollar Mart

Click on picture for a little closer view.

You can do alot of different variations with this alpha as shown above. And the layout I have of the gazebo floor shows the size of the alpha againest a 12x12 inch layout. You get the upper case alpha, lower case alpha and some symbols and it's only $2.00! Get it here or go through LLL Creations Dollar Mart and it's under the Alpha category.
