Ahhh ... glorious sun ...

Another beautiful day so we are going to work outside again. I think we are going to put a little garden beside the gazebo ... actually that was the original plan so we might as well do it and then enjoy it this summer. Plus we put a little walkway up to the gazebo and now my husband has this idea of digging a little trench on each side and between each flagstone and filling it with pebbles. He calls me a slave driver but he's the one that comes up with all these ideas that cause him work ... lol.

Do you believe in destiny? Or believe things that happen, happen for a reason? Well, I always have and yesterday something happened that made me say "It was meant to be". We woke up yesterday morning and noticed that one of our solar lights out back in our garden had fallen over in the night and hit the new flagstone walkway (lol) and the glass smashed all over the place. Here's a pic I had of that light.

I always liked that light because it changes from red, green, blue to yellow etc. So I go outside to clean up the glass and notice that the solar part is in perfect condition.

I threw out the glass and put the solar part on the table outside. Then, I got thinking ... (my husband says I think too much ... lol). I first had an idea with a fancy jar but while I was looking for it I came across this hurricane lanturn (that usually holds a candle) in the back of our cupboard that we never use.

And wouldn't you know it, the solar thing fit in it like a glove~!

And sure enough as soon as it started to get dark it lit up. It is absolutely gorgeous. The glass on the hurricane light is crackled and tall so the colours are just amazing as they change from one to another. We were mesmerized by it, it seemed sooo much nicer then in the original state ...lol. It going to be perfect in the gazebo on the table.

Soo .. it was meant to be. :-)
I'll see if I can get pictures of it lit tonight.

Today I put this frame in LLL Creations Dollar Mart.

What a positive outlook! Find something broken and end up with a work of beauty. I am so glad your solar light ended up being even better than before :o)

Thanks so much for the wordart freebie. Diane

Wow, I can't wait to see pictures but could visualize it as I was reading what you wrote.

My husband is a lot like yours, he thinks of these projects and then blames me. I guess as long as he is creating beautiful things for me I'll keep taking the blame. lol!
Hugs, Wendy
