Good news and Bad news ...

First the bad news ...

It's STILL snowing~!!! lol Yep, we have managed to accumulate quite a bit and it's still coming down. But I refuse to talk about it, hense I do any more damage ... LOL.

Onto good news ...

The Winter Olympics have been so exciting to watch this year. I've always loved watching the winter olympics. It's funny because I'm not a winter person. I don't do any winter sports but yet I love to watch them. I guess it's because I get to be all warm and cozy on my couch ... lol. Well, I am so proud to be Canadian. It's been great watching Canadians win more Olympic medals then ever before. Go Canada~! Actually there are so many records being broken all around the world. I don't just cheer for Canada ... I cheer for any outstanding athlete that deserves to win a medal. Go World~! lol

And more good news ... the Ontario Colleges are NOT going on strike! Yay, the news just came out and we are relieved. My husband is a Professor and it was such a close vote a few weeks ago that they wouldn't make anything official until the mail in votes arrived. We are mostly happy for the students who won't have their school years messed up.

Ok, something really has surprised me. I can't believe there is no one out there with a scrapbooking blog who doesn't want more traffic. The Digital Scrapbooking Webring I created could really be a great tool (if people would just take advantage of it!). If you've never been on a webring before it's very simple. You join (it's free) and put the information about your scrapbooking blog and link. Then you copy and paste the code for the webring (see at top of my blog to see what the webring looks like) to your blog. People who love scrapbooking can now click 'next' or 'prev' to blog hop. Or click on 'Hub' to go to the main page for the webring. The more people that join, the more the 'ring' is out there, the more traffic to your site. It's as simple as that. You can get out of the ring anytime you want. Why not give it a try?

Thank you for the super-sweet alpha! I'm going to be doing a couple of Valentine's Day pages, probably tonight and I have some ideas for how I might use it!

That is, if I don't get Olympics-distracted! LOL I'm very much like you. If I could just hibernate, or lock myself up with coffee, soup and my laptop to scrap until Spring, I'd SO do that! I'm not a winter person. But, I just love watching the Winter Games!

I agree with you about the Olympics - whoever is the best should win! Canada has done a very good job of hosting, it seems to me. Thank you for this lovely alpha.... I love alphas.
