Indian Summer?

Wow.. .it's hot, hot, hot, just the way I love it. The weather yesterday, today and for the next 3 days is absolutely right up my alley -> High 20's (celcius ..lol). I'm spending as much time as I can outdoors because I know this won't last forever. Even my indoor cats are enjoying this weather!



So I figure its about time to scrap some summer pics!

You know summer is ending when ...

One of the sure signs around here that summer is coming to an end is when the Canada Geese start flocking. They are around all spring, summer and fall but only start practicing their 'V' formation with the babies now to get ready to fly South for the winter.




I love watching them and it's great because they fly right over our house to the pond that is across in the conservation area. I often wonder how they figure out how to fly in the shape of a V. Of course there is always 'one' that is stubborn ...lol.



The weather has been pretty good the past few weeks so today we are going on a Lake Cruise not far from here. My husband teaches college and goes back to work Wednesday so we have to squeeze a last minute 'summer' thing in.

Home Sweet Home!

Well, we just got back from 2 nights of camping. We haven't been in about 6 years and now I remember why ...lol. We arrived at Bon Echo Provincial park early afternoon and it was beautiful out. We set up our tent and no sooner was that done when all hell broke loose ...lol.

I was NOT a happy camper~! LOL

Luckily the next day sorta made up for it with nice weather and
beautiful scenery.




But that's enough camping for me, I'm getting to old for that crap~!

Another busy week ...

We had another busy week here and more crazy weather. My 'NEW' fascination is skies and clouds. This year it seems we are getting the most amazing cloud formations.




On the same day this week these sunrises were taken, we had really dark storm clouds roll in. We actually saw about 3 funnel clouds forming, luckily they didn't amount to anything.





We hardly get two days in a row without rain anymore. But the weather man is telling us the next 4 days should be great~! I'm counting on it because we are going camping for a few nights. Yesterday we went to the Toronto Zoo, we haven't been there for 10 years. We had great weather and it was alot of fun.

Day 6 ~!

Wow, this is much harder then I thought it would be. Today will be day 6 and even though I'm hoping the worst is over, the mental addiction is horrible. My mind is telling me I need one and it's funny because I imagine having one and the thought of it is not pleasant. The 'physical' craving is not there anymore, it's definately all mental now. My husband went out on Saturday and bought a pack. He had a couple on Saturday and again on Sunday. :-( If I stay strong and never smoke again I know he would never smoke in front of me and if it was possible to actually just smoke 2 a day that would be great. But from everything I've read it doesn't stay like that. Maybe today he will be stronger. Maybe today my brain will shut up! LOL

Stir Crazy ...

I realized after I made the 'Q' word for the 'is for' series that it should of been 'quit'. My husband and I both 'quit' smoking 49 hours ago.
Ok, sounds like not a big deal, but it is a huge deal. I have smoked for 35 years and my husband 40. I feel like I can't even think straight, my mind wonders from one subject to the next, my body feels like I'm not even a part of it, and I've already thought of a million reasons why it's not a good time to quit. So wish us luck ... any support would be appreciated ...LOL.

Busy, busy ...

Wow, where has the last week gone? It seems to have flown by. A very productive week though, we finally got 'cracking' on cleaning out the garage and even managed to lay carpet in our laundry room. The weather has been great and is supposed to continue that way, fine with me! This week's freebie is one I hesitated to give away, not too sure about it. But, the last time I thought that about a freebie I had a great response that really surprised me so I'm going to just go for it ...lol.
