Spray Painting Queen~!

LOL - that's what my husband calls me ~ The Spray Painting Queen. If I get sick of something I usually spray paint it. Or if I have something that doesn't match anymore, I spray paint it. If it can be painted ... I spray paint it~!! I have ceramic plant pots that I've probably changed the colour of 5 or 6 times. Well, there is nothing wrong with them, they just don't match where I want to put them so I change the colour and they look brand new again. It's not that I'm cheap, it's just so easy to do. I've changed the colour of wood chairs, tables, picture frames, plant pots, you name it! I've even painted brand new things I've bought because I liked them but didn't like the colour ...lol. Example: We just bought this light for our outside back patio which we really liked ... but it was brown (nice but didn't match our other decor outside) so I bought it and immediately took it apart and spray painted it black.





Tada ... Isn't it cute?. It really suits our place because we are both bird nuts and have so many feeders etc. And I love it black~!



And look at the nice glow it has when you actually use it ... LOL~!

It is getting soooooo cold in the evenings~! The trees around here are actually starting to change already. The sun has been out luckily in the daytime but you can feel autumn in the breeze. Looks like another summer has bit the dust~! That got me thinking about how fast the seasons go by. And so I put these Seasons Page Toppers into LLL Creations Dollar Mart today.

The weather also had me thinking how long it's been since we've gone somewhere south. We used to go to Mexico, Dominican or Cuba at least twice a year but it's been a few years. My husband wants to get away at the end of October this year but we're not sure yet. So thinking about traveling I made this freebie for you;

Flocking Time~!

Well, it's that time of year again. Many of the birds are changing their habits and many of them are starting to flock in preperation to go south for the winter. Every year at this time we get to watch the starlings practice flocking. Hundreds of them gather in these trees behind our property in the conservation area. They are all chirping and then all of a sudden it goes dead silent. Then they take off ...



It's like a swarm and pretty neat to watch. In the picture above they look scattered but they actually end up forming a pretty tight pack as they fly off together. Then they all come back and land in the trees ... chirp and make noise - go quiet and take off again. They don't do this all day long but seem to have a set time around 6 pm. at night. And of course the geese are flocking as well.

Well, I get to meet my great nephew next Sunday at the baby shower. I've had some pictures sent to me though and he's a real cutie~! So today I put some Baby Word Art into LLL Creations Dollar Mart.

I also have an observation to make - it's the same 3 or 4 people that are courteous enough to thank me for my freebies. (I thank you for that!) Why is that? I guess some people are just faithfully polite while others are not. I'm not really sure I understand that though because I would of guessed the majority of people in the world do have manners ... but I guess I was wrong. What bothers me about it is if you don't have manners, your kids won't either. Just an observation ...

It's been 8 years since the tragedy of 911. It's something I still find so hard to believe really happened. When I see the pictures on the television it still makes my heard drop. My heart goes out to everyone affected by this horrible loss.

Wow, its the weekend again. Where do the days go? I think tonight we are going to have a bonfire. There won't be too many days left where we can sit out without freezing our butts off~! lol



We've had a few fires this year ... not as many as we should have. The one above was actually at someones 50th birthday party we went to last weekend. What is it about fire? It's just mesmorizing. We usually sit around and cook bits of sausage and of course marshmallows. I wish summer would last forever~!

It's A Boy ~ !

Yippeeee ... I'm a great aunt! My great nephew was born yesterday on Sept.8th at 10:29 am at a whopping 8 lbs. 8 oz~! His Name is Devin Eric and I can't wait to meet him. Unfortunately I live over 200 km's away and will have to wait a few more days. How exciting~! My daughter lives in the same city as my nephew and she was able to see the baby last night.



It's been a longgggggg time since a baby has been around this family. The youngest child is 23 ... lol and he is now the proud uncle of Devin. The only problem is the word 'great' ... as soon as you put that in front of your name it really makes you feel old ... lol. Well, I know I refuse to fall into that trap~!!!


Anyways, on to another topic. Back to School. Most kids here in Ontario had their first day back to school yesterday. All those anxious kids and all the happy parents ...lol. And so ... I have put this into LLL Creations Dollar Mart today.
