Do Plants Ever Stop Growing?

I'm really starting to wonder if plants ever stop growing. I have LOTS of plants. We have lived in this house for 2 1/2 years and since we moved here, the plants have been growing like weeds~! The house does have alot of light but it's getting ridiculous ... lol.

The plant below is on a plant ledge above our hallway closet. It started out just about 2 years ago a cute little thing and wasn't hanging over the ledge at all. And now ...



It's out of control~! lol





It has actually reached the floor on the one side. Those type of plants are easy to cut back (and start NEW ones ... lol) so that's not really a problem.

But some of the other plants ...











are outgrowing their spot and not as easy to cut back. That is just a few of the plants I have around. I've often thought of counting my plants (and maybe some day I will ...) but I haven't got around to it yet. I don't even water them all the same day because it takes too long ... lol.

Get rid of them? - NO, that's not an option. I get attached to my plants ... lol.

Move them to a different spot? - I've done that several times ... but there are only so many spots!

Buy a bigger house? - Hahahaha ... my husband would kill me just for thinking about it.

Stop buying new ones? - Ok, I've already agreed to that one!

What if they never stop growing? ...
Hmmm ... well, they say the more plants you have and the bigger the plants, the more oxygen they supply and there are many other benefits of having house plants. So I guess I'll just keep loving them.

We're getting there ...

Wow... do you remember a few weeks back we built shelves in the storage area at the back of our laundry room? Well, after building those we decided to finished off the whole laundry room and divide the storage area from the laundry area. No big deal right? WRONG~! LOL

We haven't stopped (mostly my husband ... lol) As usual, one thing leads to another and we first put up a wall to seperate the storage area and then a door. We are leaving the storage area unfinished but in the laundry room we decided to put up wainscoting to finish off the walls. And then we thought, hmmm... we have lots of tiles left from when we finished the bathroom. Why don't we put tiles behind the washer/dryer area? So the walls and tiles started going up. We totally underestimated how much wood we would need and our 'little' project has taken us back to Home Depot at least 6 times ... lol. Now 3 of the 4 walls are done and now the unfinished ceiling looks like crap, so now we have to finish the ceiling~! (I'll post pictures when it's done) My new motto is "When you are going to do something ... estimate how much it will cost and then times that by 3!"
My only goal for this winter was to paint 2 hallways~!!! lol

Ok, sometimes snow can be pretty! lol This morning the snow was falling so lightly and you could see it sparkling in the sun. I love when it snows like that, a light dusting that just kind of sticks and settles on everything.



And it is sunny out today~! It's cold but the sun helps to keep away those February Blahs. And sometimes I find those 'blahs' unavoidable in February! Does anyone else every get them?

Yay~! We beat another January ... lol. Once February comes I know that spring is just around the corner. With February being a short month, March comes quickly. Once March comes well, we all well on our way~!! Can you tell I'm not a winter person?? lol

Whew, my daughter gets married on June 11th. That's going to come fast too! Yesterday they moved into their house. I'm so excited for her, she is having such an exciting year. A busy one too but it's all good stuff. They are building the house they moved into and it's not even complete yet. But they moved in anyways so they wouldn't have to sign another one year lease on the apartment they were in. They are still waiting for some permits so they can finish it off. Hopefully they will come through soon because some of the interior walls aren't even up yet! But they are young and don't care. I'm getting nervous about her wedding. I have NO idea what I'm wearing ... lol. I guess compared to all the stress she's going through, I can't complain~!!

Thank god my daughter had a ton of pictures taken for her engagement. I use them in sooooooooo many layouts I make for this blog. They've really come in handy ... lol.
