Something new ...

I thought I would try my hand at making some quickpages. Personally, I never use quickpages but I know some people do. And since I never made anything 'digital' for halloween the next best topic would be Autumn. Speaking of halloween I have to go carve a pumpkin~!!!

It's Time~!

Now that my 'is for' Series is finally finished - on to my next series. Wedding Wishes - consisting of over 60 elements. Many of these elements can be used for layouts other than a wedding. They are just 'love' inspired. Of course I'll still be giving other freebies in between parts of this series.

The thing I love about digital elements is they are so versitile. I have a really good photo printer and I print any pictures that I need for frames etc. I haven't printed a picture in ages without using elements, wordart etc, to 'spice it up'. Besides doing Digital scrapbooks, I've printed pictures and put them on ceramic tiles like this one;

and I also did a large 13"x13" tile with a collage of my two cats ...lol.

My most recent project was to do a family frame with pics of the family including brothers, sisters, kids, nieces and nephews. This is how it turned out;

This frame is actually 36"x24" so it's pretty big. Most of the pictures are printed 5"x7".

So as you can see - digital elements can be used in so many ways~! I'd love to hear about any creative things you have done with digital elements.

Jib Jab

Well, the snow accumulated just enough to cover the grass. It lasted through the next day but now it has melted. Whew!

I found this really fun website the other day. It's called Jib Jab. It lets you create videos or postcards starring 'YOU' (or your friends etc.) There are only selected free ones but enough to have fun with.
Hey, this one I made might even get me over my fear of deep water!

Z and Snow ~ !

Well, this is interesting... it's October 21st and it's SNOWING out! Yes, the dreaded S word. My husband just called me and told me to look out the window. I was busy around the house here and hadn't even noticed.







Ug! There's no denying it now, winter is coming ... and way to fast for my liking. If it actually accumulates I'll post another picture this afternoon. I'm hoping it doesn't!!! Hmmmm... did I jinx myself with my last post??

Wow, I am finally at the end of the 'is for' series. Seems like yesterday I just opened this blog ...lol. This series has been fun to make. I hope you enjoyed it too!

Ahhh ... Autumn

As much as I love summer, I have to admit I love the colours of Autumn. We took a drive yesterday to see our area in full blown change.















I've never really thought about it but some people never get to see this spectacular show put on in the fall. The college here has a student exchange program with Mexico and there are about 20 Mexican students down this year. They are totally amazed by all this colour change. (Hah! Wait until they see the snow~! LOL)

I could definately live with just 3 seasons (skip the winter). My friends that have become 'snowbirds' this year (living in Florida for the winter months) are leaving in two weeks. I envy them, sitting in their 'Florida room' sipping on Margarita's! Actually neither of them even drink but it sounded good ...lol.

Happy Thanksgiving

To all your fellow Canadians that are celebrating Thanksgiving today, I hope you eat lots of turkey~! We are actually having ham because we had a huge turkey a few weeks ago when my husbands family came down. And today I am definately thankful for the beautiful weather we are having - a whopping 26 degrees celcius which is great for the middle of October. I'm a few days late with the next letter in the 'is for' series but I've been pretty busy.

So .... Happy Thanksgiving ... and if your are not from Canada ... Happy Thanksgiving and eat turkey anyways~!! :-) Now how appropriate is this letter for today? Yummy...

Wow!

What a wonderful wedding it was. It took place in an old Victorian building and was just lovely. My step-daughter looked stunning and the groom looked fabulous~! What a great couple. I wish them all the happiness in the world~!!!



They are now off on a caribbean cruise which is very much deserved. They both work long hours and different shifts which keeps them apart often. Hopefully time will slow down for them this week and they have the relaxing vacation that I'm sure they both needed. But don't you just love wedding???~!!!

I have soooooooooo much to do today and here I am again - on the computer, lol. I am going to FORCE myself to pull away as soon as I post this freebie. We will be out of town for a few days at my step-daughters wedding and my list of things to do is enormous~!

So here we are closing in on the end of the 'is for' series. Some letters are just really hard to find 'appropriate' words for~! Hopefully this one will be used with humour in mind ...lol.
