Jingle Cat

No, I don't torture my cats ... lol. But at Christmas I like to make them look all Christmasy for some pictures. The best time to do it is when they are all relaxed and half asleep. Then they just let you dress them up~! lol So here is the 2009 Nemo Christmas picture. I haven't done Mischief yet, he saw the bag of cat christmas outfits and hasn't relaxed since!!! lol

Well, we've had our first snow that has actually stayed on the ground. Not alot but just enough to cover everything. And it's been cold so it has stuck around. The first snowfall always looks so pretty, but only the first snowfall, after that, I'm ready for summer again ... lol.

Christmas Is Creeping Up Quickly ~

Well the Christmas tree went up and I have to say it looks pretty good. It really isn't as shapely as last years and decorating didn't change the shape of it. I thought maybe once it thawed out it would 'shape up' but it didn't ... lol. Oh well, my husband likes it but I still like last years tree much better. It's hard looking at real trees that you buy off a lot because most of them are tied up and even it you untie them it's hard to tell until you get them home. Plus ... it was freezing out and after I made my husband untie about 10 of them, (of course he said he loved every one of them) I could see it was time to pick one ... lol. Why is it that men aren't 'fussy' like women???



Ha ha ... I noticed after doing this layout that the tree looks crooked. It's really not, I must of been holding the camera crooked ... lol.



Well, we had our first sprinkling of snow on December 1st. We woke up to it but it melted once the sun was on it for a few hours. They are calling for snow tomorrow. We'll see if it accumulates. It's sure cold enough~!!!

The Last Thing ...

We are officially looking alot like Christmas! Well, almost. I've decorated and last night we went out and got a real tree. I just have to decorate the tree and that will be the last thing. Oh, except for the shopping and having people over and visiting people etc ... lol. It's such a busy time of year.

I try not to decorate inside the exact same way every year but I find some things you just can't change. So alot of my 'this years pictures' look alot like my 'last years pictures' ... lol. Oh well ...

Heres some of the festive things at my house this year;



The top part of the above layout is the front of my house. The window is my bedroom window above the garage. It looks so pretty from the inside too. We also have another tree on the lawn that is lit. Next year I want some above our garage door too ... but I have to 'gradually' add more. My husband thinks we have plenty ... lol. The bottom part of the layout is my back yard. We also have the upper deck railing lit.



My good old motion detecting Santa who greets everyone who walks in the door - "Ho,Ho,Ho ... Merry Christmas - Welcome to our Home". Ok, sometimes we turn it off because it does get a bit irritating every time you walk by ...lol.



I try to change this railing a little bit every year so this year I added some candle cluster lights I had. But basically it's the same every year.

Today I'm decorating the tree. It's a Balsam Fir and a little less 'shapely' then our last years tree. But they always look better decorated so I'm anxious to see the results.
