Chotchkies ~ that's what my husband calls knick-knacks. For years he's been telling me I'm a chotchkie collector. I had never heard that expression before. I have to admit I do like them ... lol. Well, today before doing this post I looked up chotchkie on the internet because I wasn't sure how to spell it. Hmmm ... this is the definition for chotchkie:

A small piece of worthless crap, a decorative knick knack with little or no purpose.

Side note: Chotchkie can be pretty, sentimental, or even occasionally useful though it usually breaks easily if useful. If you are having trouble identifying Chotchkie just look around your house or someone else's and whatever you see that a burgler wouldn't steal is probably a Chotchkie.

Piece of worthless crap?? LOL. Wait until my husband gets home today~!!! LOL

So ... since I am a chotchkie collector ... I'm going to show you some of my garden chotchkies ...

LOL ~ Now I don't think they are worthless or a piece of crap. Ok, maybe some are a little useless but that's as far as I'd take it ... lol. I can't believe I just thought chotchkie meant knick-knack or ornament~! Worthless piece of crap? LOL ... oh I can't wait to see him ...lol.

On another note I've had my camera for about a year and a half and I finally figured out how to properly use the macro setting.

There is a macro button and everytime I used to press it the picture would turn out blurry. As it turns out I was supposed to take it off 'automatic' and put it on 'program' setting - it was as simple as that. I guess reading the manual helps ... lol.

Today I put these papers into LLL Creations Dollar Mart.

Both sets have 6 papers and are only $1.00 a set~! You can get them here or just go through LLL Creations Dollar Mart under the Papers category.

And for todays freebie I have this for you;

I too found your blog after googling chotchkies. I also found a different spelling with a much preferred definition by me (and probably many others).
Tchotchke (/ˈtʃɒtʃkə/choch-ka)[1][2][3][4][5] is a small bauble, doodad, doohickey, gewgaw, gizmo, goolya, kitsch, knickknack, lagniappe, swag, thingamabob, thingamajig, toy, trinket, whatchamacallit, whosie-whatsit, widget, etc. ...see webpage for more
The word "tchotchke" derives from a Slavic word for "toys".
Anyhoo...glad you enjoy collecting them as much as I do. Anything you enjoy doing is definitely not a piece of worthless crap!
